Mercy Me, One of Christian Music's Best

So many conservative Christians are quick to dismiss contemporary Christian music, and that is a shame, because they are missing out on some great musicians giving glory to the Lord.
Now in my humble opinion. I love many, many different types of music both in secular and christian music. There are songs ranging from classical, rock and roll, jazz, easy listening, country ,even hip hop and rap. I love the old hymns,How Great Thou Art for example never fails to bring a tear to my eye. I also recognize the value of other types, the more contemporary ,Mercy Me for example.
They bring their talent and ministry to sing about us being in the glory of the lord. How could any one of us know or imagine how we would react or behave? This particular song of theirs makes me break down and cry, while in my mind I do imagine being in his presence and knowing I am not worthy, but that I have come to him through his sacrifice for my sins. And as the tears flow I think of my loved ones whose faith has taken them to be with Him also, and I know I will see them again.
Please listen to this video, keep an open mind,I am confident you will be brought to tears, too.

Right on! Christians have used music, as have all people, to express deep emotions, to speak from and to the heart. Most any type of music can do that. "A Mighty Fortress", for the record, was "contemporary", to the tune of a bar song! I won't comment on Mercy Me, don't know them; I don't like current rock. But for those who do, let God use it in their lives and I'm all for it. BTW, I'm 60 years old, a believer for 41 years.

I'm sorry Ajrad, I hope your heart will one day be softened by the lord so that you might know the saving grace of Jesus's love.

Thanks for your support anonymous. "A Mighty Fortress "is a great song. I agree with you let God use whatever means necessary to reach out to anyone and everyone.
